Nostalgia. Paris – November 2012.

We all know what Paris is known for. Home of Haute Couture, Eiffel Tower, Omelette du’fromage and so much more. In November 2012, during our “Reading Week”, which technically we should study and catch up with our readings, we skived our way towards the capital of France for 3 nights. The weather was terrible. very very terrible. It was raining and cold, but the hot chocolate under the Eiffel Tower kinda make the trip worthwhile. The whole Paris experience was fun and obviously, very very full.

The weather was freezing, considering the weather report that the internet gave us was “spring, sunny with a dash of rain”. It was a lie, but still worth it to go to the top of the Eiffel tower for a nice view from the top!

The night view was unbelievable, there was not a single cloud in sight which gave us the full view of the Paris skyline. A well-lit Paris at night is truly truly a wonderful sight and those who didn’t went up didn’t know what they’re missing!

It was quite a funny experience cause we were just walking from our hotel towards the Eiffel Tower and had to cross a bridge to get to the other side and somehow the bridge looked familiar and then only we realize where we remembered the bridge from. It was not one of the main attractions in Paris but it’s still very beautiful yet eerie.

One of the highlight of the trip was the opportunity to eat at one of Paris’s most acclaimed restaurant, Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme’s restaurant Le Pur’ (http://paris-restaurant-pur.fr/default-en.html). We ordered the 11 course tasting menu without hesitation and it took approximately 3 hours to complete the entire dinner. Although the price is slightly expensive, but a Michelin star restaurant, 11 courses, definately worth going!

Of course, it’s Paris, one of the most important thing you have to do, Shopping! Really wish we could go again in our spare time!
